Picture your wedding day, friends and family gathered round in a glowing celebration of love. Look to your left, and this dude is there, doing this.
I know that you’ve been waiting for it, I’m waiting too. In my imagination I’d be all up on you. I know you got that fever for me, hundred and two. And boy I know I feel the same my temperature’s through the roof.
If there’s a camera up in here then it’s gonna leave with me when I do. If there’s a camera up in here then I’d best not catch this flick on YouTube. ’Cause if you run your mouth and brag about this secret rendezvous I will hunt you down. ’Cause they be all up in my bidness like a Wendy Interview. But this is private between you and I.
Here is part two of the informative 3 part series: Matt Hathaway: Before There Was A Halba. See Part I 90-95.
Part II guides us through an emotional journey as Halba is out of high school, and becoming a real (hairy) man. Come along as we continue the ride through the younger years of Matt Hathaway. This time we check in on him in between 1995 and 1999.
D-Rider, we thinks we founds you a luv connection…!
New to sj state this semester, not sure if it’s coincidence or not,
but since ive moved here i see you everywhere.
Always near the 6th an st. john 7 eleven, and also at philz coffee with a bunch of other skaters with beanies.
You always have a black beanie an a a big smile.
Either on a bike or a skateboard, something about you seems to catch my eye.
With a little hustle and a lot of heart (and probably some of Creepy strong arming magazine editors) Halba had this piece up in Skateboarder not too long ago. Randy Watson would be so proud.
I just tried for the last thirty minutes to write something serious about Halba. How he’s done so much rad stuff for me since we first started hanging out. How his influence changed the way I looked at things from skating to everyday life in general. I guess I’m just not that good with words so fuck it. Thanks for saying and doing all that cool shit that we all get to make fun of you for. I totally appreciate it !
As much as Halba would love to say he’s bummed on Halba week, I know deep down in that heel flipping heart of his, he’s loving every minute of it. This faggot is my best friend. Right? Halba? I mean I think he’s my best friend. On second thought, I don’t even think he likes me. For my first installment, i would like to post one of many photos i have of make shift wallrides that halba loves to skate. Im pretty sure he has a sheet of plywood, a palette, and an orange cone with him at all times.
I went through my old comic book collection to find this. It took me four days because I am such a nerd and have a shit ton of comic books. Anyways, this is the first issue of an old series (circa 1998) that didn’t last long. It’s a comic called “Supermac” and it was based on the life of The Screaming Lord Halba. I’m sure you can imagine it all… a white kid from the suburbs that gains super powers from skateboarding, weed, alcohol and rap music. He goes around screaming at the bad guys until they start crying, then he goes and seduces all the fly honeys. I was pretty sad when this one stopped hitting the shelves. The best issue was the crossover when Supermac teams up with Poison Ivy and Storm. They all get high as f*!#k and have a menajahtwa. That was the graphic novel and believe you me, it was pretty graphic.
