At breakfast, before the wedding, we talked about killing time at the mall trying to find a photo booth to shoot some pics in. We ended up lagging and not going to a mall in Detroit. We ended up arriving at Joe and Kara’s wedding about a minute late. At the reception there was an open bar, a dance floor and a photo booth. What are the odds? Congratulations Brooks!!!! If I gots to be judged, it would have to be by these dudes. I think that whatever they drink at these events gives them magical powers to see directly through bullshit.

Jason’s skating is so refreshing. In a world where most skateboarders were designed by Jango Fett, sold to the old republic and used by the Empire, The Kid keeps it as real as Yoda. Killing it at 800 years old on Dagobah. His midiclhorian count is off the charts! Check out his interview over at brink’s holoprojector.
I remember seeing this tiny kid skating through the parking lot of the high school I went to. He was so small. I was really impressed because he was jamming, doing backside flips so effortlessly. I ended up meeting him a few days later. We were skating with some mutual friends and he introduced himself as Shawn. I asked him if he went to the elementary school next to the high school (as he looked like he was 10 years old). He didn’t reply to that, just gave me a weird look. A few days later, he was sitting across from me in my sophomore class. I understood the weird look as I tasted my foot. Thus began us skating together over the next few years. Shawn was kind enough to give me old decks as he was one of four “Missing Children” on Think Skateboards. Boy, was he talented on a skateboard. We got into mischief, as young high school kids do, when we weren’t skating. It’s crazy to see him with a perfect set of teeth and facial hair now all grows up. It’s not so crazy to see him still ripping.

After the last post and seeing this over at chromeball, I thought I should put up this Cabbie board. I rode quite a few of these back in the day. It was way too small for me, but I rode them anyways cus I liked the graphic. It also came with a free VHS of Steve.
